Send a message to the person who requested a photo of the grave monument of John Mckinnon Pratt with the following comment:
I'm a member of the Capricorn Coast Historical Society, (CCHS). I have been given access to some material which was found in a ceiling of the late Gordon Grays home which was damaged by cyclone Marcia. Gordon's father and mother were John Gray and Maude Mary Gray (Nee Pratt) have letters written to Maude Mary when she was a nurse at the Hughenden Hospital and John McKinnon Pratt was Shire Clerk and secretary for the hospital. I have a lot of photos of both the Gray and the Pratt family which need identifying. I have a few old telegrams from Hughenden when senior members of the Pratt family died. I have letters from George Pratt to Maude Mary during the war. All war material has been promised (Donated)to the Maryborough Military and Colonial Museum. That's some of what I have. I am interested in sharing my material with members of the Pratt family if they are interested. Everything will be scanned into the CCHS database, we are a paper based organisation. If a member of the family wants a copy of this information, I will gladly supply it on a USB stick for them. The earliest letter I have is a reference letter from the Charters Towers hospital to Nurse Maud Mary Pratt in 1897. Then there are letters from the Hughenden Hospital to her, one on Hughenden Station Stationary in 1901. I need to know more about who I'm dealing with. My home phone is 0749394005. Address, 38 Morris Street Yeppoon, QLD 4703. Yours Fraternally Nigel Hawke
